I bet that if you have been playing this game for awhile, you have had your eyes set on a Relic Weapon or two.  It takes a very large amount of ancient currency to upgrade.  Did  you know that the average cost to fully upgrade one is well over 100,000,000 gil if you were to buy the ancient currency needed to do so?  This ancient currency can be obtained one of two ways, you can either farm the currency doing dynamis runs or you can purchase the currency from other players in the game.  Not everyone has the timed needed to take part in dynamis runs and to top it off, you can only enter dynamis twice in a one week period.  If you are in a linkshell that actually lets you lot on the currency which is pretty rare in most cases, you then have to compete with over 18 other members for it.  If you’re lucky you may end up with 5-10 pieces per run tops.  When I do take part in dynamis runs I’m pretty much concentrating on AF drops, I don’t have the time to concern myself with ancient currency.

Why not save yourself the hassel and worry of competing for ancient currency?  Pick yourself up some cheap FFXI gil today and throw gil problems aside.  You can then buy all the ancient currency you need to upgrade all the Relic Weapons you want.  Hell, go crazy and get them all.  Enjoy dynamis for once knowing you have no need for the currency since now you will be able to buy what you need now that you have an abundance of FFXI gil.
